About the Initiative
HackTheHurdle (HTH) is a premier statewide, tech-led innovation challenge organized by the Savli Technology and Business Incubator (STBI) under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat (DST-GoG). Designed to scout, nurture, and accelerate high-impact indigenous technologies across Gujarat, HTH is strategically aligned with national innovation frameworks. Serving as a primary funnel for STBI’s Regional Innovation Cells (RICs), the initiative crowdsources diverse technological solutions from students, researchers, and local innovators to directly address pressing regional and industrial problem statements.
Key Program Highlights & Benefits
Incubation Support: Selected innovators and teams undergo a 4-month incubation program at STBI free of cost, recognized under STBI’s Idea Doodle Program.
Grant Assistance: Milestone-linked grant-in-aid of up to ₹1,50,000/- (₹1.5 Lakhs) per innovator/team for prototyping and development.
Mentorship & Infrastructure: Access to co-working spaces, advanced laboratories, specialized equipment, and guidance from domain experts.
Real-World Impact: Solutions are developed by directly engaging with local industries to solve practical use cases.
